It will be focused on the brand new Drupal 8 and will get together developers, designers and drupalistas with all levels and aims to promote the use of Drupal. The main idea is to interconnect different Drupal actors like businesses, users and Drupal professional like developers, designers, architects, or project managers.
It will be held at Citilab in Cornellà, which has also hosted other Drupal events in Barcelona as Drupal CxO 2013, Drupal Developer Days 2012, DrupalCamp Spain 2010, Drupal Day 2011 or Drupalcon 2007.
On Friday the main activity will be the Drupal 8 training given by Forcontu. It will have 2 different 4-hour introductory workshops: the first one will be about site-building in the morning and the second one will be about development in the afternoon. It is really an amazing opportunity to get in contact with the new Drupal 8! In addition, students and unemployed people have free tickets.
The main day of the event will be Saturday, when all sessions will happen. You can see the schedule here. There will be sessions in English and Spanish, and classified in the following levels: beginner, intermediate or advanced. Pako will give a talk about Theming in Drupal 8, Rodrigo will give an introduction to Behat and Ramon will explain how to contribute to Drupal.
There will be sessions throughout the day and on the evening we will have dinner and a Drupal Summer party. It will be an ideal chance to meet other Drupalers!
Sunday will be focused on sprints. Although the other days will also have sprints: it is expected to have an introductory session explaining how to contribute and mentors will be available for begginers. It will be great for those who need to tune up their development environment and start contributing, or for those that already have it but want to learn how the Drupal issue queue works or want to do their first patch.
At Ymbra, as we’ve been doing for years, we contribute to the community at both a personal and company level and therefore we are one of the sponsors of this event and part of the organization as Drupal.cat individual members.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn Drupal and get in contact with the community! Grab your ticket for the Drupal Summer Barcelona and see you there!
