Javascript universe on Drupal 7 - Drupal Day

As we already mentioned on a previous entry, we have organized the first Drupal Day ever in Spain. In addition to organizing the event with other fellow drupalistas we are going to give a session (in Spanish) about Drupal 7's changes regarding javascript.

I had a good feeling after having finished my session: attendees made some questions and this means that they not only understood its contents but they are also interested on the subject.ot, que els interessa el tema.

As promised I am going to list all the books that were mentioned during the session:

  • Books about JavaScript
    • JavaScript. The Definitive Guide, David Flanagan. O'Reilly
It's Javascript's bible and a must. I'd be very happy if someone gave me a drupal 6 copy.
    • JavaScript: The Good Parts, Douglas Crockford. O'Reilly
Written by JavaScript's genious. Thin book but still very useful to understand the special concepts of this language.
  • Books about Drupal 7
    • Drupal 7 Module Development, Matt Butcher, Greg Dunlap, Matt Farina, Larry Garfield, Ken Richard and John Albin Wilkins. Packt Publishing
If you call yourself a developer and want to work with Drupal 7, this book is a must for you. The best book on the topic.
    • Pro Drupal 7 Development, Todd Tomlinson i John K. VanDyk. Apress
Although it was previously  meant to be drupal 6's bible this edition is not as good as the previous one, since many new Drupal 7's features such as entities have not been covered.
